Yes I know what a DSG is. Its not a traditional automatic, but its not a real manual transmission either. YES I'M BACK TO TALK MORE TRASH ABOUT THE EVO X. This is a call for a celebration! YAY!

I don't understand then.. Why is there no place for it in an Evo, since you understand it's an auto-shifting manual? F1 uses autoshifting manuals, WRC uses auto shifting manuals.

Surely the new Evo is exactly where one of these transmissions should exist.

He's just a moron and that's all there is to it. Arguing with these types is like trying to reason with a dog. They will never get.

Yep I'm just a moron people! I knew eventually you would figure it out! This still doesn't change the fact the new X will suck ****. An american designed heavy & bloated chassis, a even higher center of gravity (and roll center), and a aluminum block that no one even has any mods for yet. Sounds awesome!

wow at least sonicofadz brought up reasonable arguments this time. I think we are all going to be a bit skeptical about all the radical changes, but for me the proof will be in road tests and such, as I'm not huge into modification like I used to be. I've managed to enjoy my VIII with minimal mods, and in return I've not had anything major go wrong with it even with tracking it (drag, auto-x, open track days, mountain carving, etc.). So, if the new one can do all that but better and in more comfort, I'm all for it...otherwise, I'm going to get a IX and keep it for life.

Just because it's American and aluminum it sucks? Wow! The C6 Z06 is American and the motor is aluminum, so that would mean it sucks to? Amazing! Keep on talking, I want to entertain myself some more!

Let me try to break this down for you:

Step 1. Point your browser to google.com

Step 2. type in "Mitsubishi GS platform"

Step 3. Press <Enter>

Step 4. Start reading links.

After you are someone else completes these steps you should be able to cross this off your insane rant list. Chrysler's version of Mitsubishi's platofrm is the JS. It is modded enough for them to call it something of their own and a different name, but it all started from Mitsubishis engineering. Guess what the Evo will be? On a highly modded GS platform. Our cars currently ride on highly modded Lancer platofrms. It isn't American designed. Worrying that it is "heavy and bloated" without knowing what it can do and in relation to what is ludicrous.

Hey sonic, you keep bringing up this heavy chassis thing.

How much does the new chassis weigh? How much does the current chassis weigh?

You still never answered my question about the roll cage.
