I thought the evo 5th ratio was 0.72...?

Now if you transmission geeks want to argue about which gearset is best at least you can reference actual ratios. For me, I'll take the 6spd...taller first for better off-the-line acceleration then shorter 2nd and 3rd since you'll already be in the meaty part of the torque curve. 4th is basically the same. 5th is quite a bit taller and obviously 6th is for cruising.

I stand corrected....I did post the RS 5 speed ratios, honest mistake. Here's the correct USDM 5 speed ratios.
1st 2.928
2nd 1.950
3rd 1.407
4th 1.031
5th 0.720
Reverse 3.416
Final gear ratio 4.529
And just because I haven't posted many times that doesn't make me a newbie...remember that.
oops, ratios already posted.

I posted this in the "other" thread, but since they haven't been merged:

Just because it doesn't look exactly like a JDM MR, doesn't mean it's a USDM 8 with MR wheels. I thought everyone acknowledged that this is a US test mule. I think there's enough pictures to support the claim.
Gearing Calculations
http://home.comcast.net/~mister2zx3/Gearing.htm
You can change the values in the orange to see how changing tire size, gear ratios, etc effect overall speed through the gears.
That attachment fell behind quickly as I added a few things.
You can see from the RPMS in the next gear at max RPM calculations the 6 spd keeps things in a much more optimal sweet spot up through the gears.
