Is your car turbo'd yet? Just curious cause I know adding a turbo will significantly quiet down an exhaust compared to na. I know this setup na would be ungodly loud and I would hate it. I am pretty sure Zulu's setup is going to be the closes match to mine as I have 95% same setup as his current one. I have not even opened the wrap on the muffler yet so IDK about the silencer. I know it is zero restriction, straight 3" hole through this muffler. I have a link here somewhere in my thread a youtube vid of a 03 lancer turbo 3" straight pipe to this exact muffler and it did not sound very loud at all to me, dude at the exhaust shop had me nervous though lol.
i never thought about that, but i suppose your right... that makes sense. Im sure it will quiet down once i get it on..
but no its not on yet... still need a turbo, replace the hoses, and a fuel pump...
spark plugs ill get for my birthday and i just bought an FPR... so its getting close... im hoping install time will be my christmas break.

Sweet OZboyee I am excited for both of us lol. My goal was to have all the parts for my kit before I got married. Wel I get married in a week and a half and everything is either here or on its way . Down to the wire but I did "git'r'done" haha. I skipped the FPR since I have the 440s, walbro and ecuflash I will be able to tune them in just fine with my stocker. I bought some header wrap to help insulate my return line from the rediculously hot turbine right next to it. Going to go and talk more in depth to my exhaust dude, the other day was just a quick chat for an idea of cost as he was in the middle of welding exhaust on another rig at the time. Sweet so got my egt bung on the way as well, dude said he couldnt get one just the 02 bung, $200 seemed kinda steep to me but IDK never had this done before but will mean I will have a full 3" custom exhaust for around $360 installed parts and labor not too bad.
lol yeah dude its getting close for me too cause i wanted to have it on by the end of Christmas break since idk when ill be back up home at my parents house since this is my 4th year and im graduating in May... and my family with automotive knowledge will be 600 miles away from me in SD...
but yeah 360 for 3" exhaust doesn't seem to bad at all... installed and what not... idk how just the injectors will work... im not really an expert but i guess since they are bigger injectors you woudlnt need an FPR... im keeping stock injectors for now, and maybe a little later on down the road ill 330s? idk thats what the my clubs mechanic said.. i do everything he says.. haha
im stoked to dude. whens the install for you?

I plan on having it installed by the end of october. I would love to have the exhaust ready to go before I leave for california for 5 days. Not sure there though I only have about $70 left over from my last automotive job lol and not much time to do anymore with the crazy schedule getting everything together for the big day. I havent installed my head gasket, studs, timing belt or clutch yet either I wanted to do that before the actual install but not sure might just do it all in one big shot.
As for the injectors, overall all you want in the end is enough fuel to keep up with extra air getting forced into the combustion chambers. Now with the 440s and the walbro I will have the adequete flow needed no problem and ecuflash will give me the tool needed to dial in that fuel to the precise afr I need

for some reason when i was getting tuned, i had to up the pressure on my fpr so that i could get more fuel, keep in mind i have a walbro 255 and 440s!!!! pressure reads ove 45 psi.
my exhaust quieted down substantially after the turbo was on and i payed 160 for it installed and 1 somthing for the actually exhaust. it is pretty drony especially if u have the back seats down. and that vid on youtube was prolly me but my car sounds nothing like that in reality

well Here is the vid I mentioned but this car is silver I think and he has the same setup I will have for exhaust, the exact same muffler part number

its all good not too worried as he still doesnt have the same setup as me and zulu does. Anyone have the same issue with the water lines? I have tried every way I can think of but the one in the pic is the closes I can get it without bending it.
yea i think u got 9 ones since mine that came with my turbo was on already but were perfect but i did take the bolts out so i could bend them a lil to get the best clearance for the hoses
