I believe it was steel or somethin like that, instead of aluminum, so we don't have to worry about puttin 7 psi from turbo, and the engine exploding, lol. I'm still waiting till I get my engine, so that I may start on my swap, but I doubt it'll be here till September, so we shall see, I'll do a write up for you guys also. I NEED to know how I'm gonna do the tranny swap though, that's where I get my brain fart

Dont know how u r gonna get the tranny swap either(damn brain farts) but as the engine goes if u get one that was taken care of 7psi on that engine is playing it too safe I would go 10-12 psi on the stock engine to start out(one guy did 30psi on the stock engine before the block cracked, but that was untuned and i think only one piston got fried)

Yeah I really don't see why not, I think the engine bays are the same, only real differene for the 04-06 came in the form of the Ralliart, which isn't necessarily a bad thing

Would there be fitment issues from the other stuff? Like the front strut bars or the ABS system (I have an LS)?

If you where to use the 4g64 or 4g69 tranny instead of putting everything into a 4g94 tranny, can't you just use the ralliart lancers axles and not make custom ones?

Even so, 130whp is more then any NA g94 lancer, and rpm said he had a full complement of bolts ons with a piggy back.

Even just making the swaping and running IHE is an improvement, but the real plus is the larger after market potential, FI g64's put up some good numbers, and it would be really noticeable with the 350lb less that the lancer offers over the eclipse.

will the 4g64 from a galant fit?

And, i know that some 3g guys swap their 4g64 motors for the evo's 4g63, which makes me wonder if the evo engine would fit in our cars?

what aftermarket for the 4g64???!!! besides from the big 3 IEH there is really nothing(minus some cams for turbocharged 4g64, there might be one for NA but they arent cheap) unless u want to make your own turbo kit, u can use stuff from the 4g63.

as long as its an 8th gen. Galant it should fit, same exact engine as the 4g64 from the 3g eclipse

You know, everyone else is getting their questions answered, when it HAS ALREADY BEEN ANSWERED! I'm actually asking something that no one has really asked here. RPM said a CF hood might peel from this swap, I'm curious if other things will be affected as well. As for custom axles and can a 4G64 from this car fit, RPM already answered all that!!

This thread is getting messy from all the same questions...

Also, what kind of horsepower numbers can we expect? I'm not really familiar with DSM's but I know they are regulars at the drag.

What are you complaining about? People are just still a little confused, myself, I'm a little stumped on the tranny swap, just a few things I don't get, but that's because I'm not well educated on transmission, everyone else seems to have the same question that you're having, and that's the numbers potential, it's all in different format, on page one RPM talked about the HP he got, I think he was pullin like 157 hp, not sure if it was to the wheels or not, so, uh, yeah
