OK, so just for some extra info. What kind of things change when this swap is done? As in supporting parts, like spark plugs, wires, coil? Just wondering if those things change and if they are available at local auto parts stores. I'm really interested in this now too. Looks like it will open up way more potential for bolt on mods.

For 4G94 need plugs (same as your sohc)

coilpacks i can probably organise something as an extra but two ppl down here shorten the boots of there packs to fit.

70mm idler pulley NSK part number PBT82

Timing belt supra 7mgte

Head gasket (same as sohc)

Rocker cover/spark plug gaskets

oil

coolant

I dont know about you but i usually i get the head rebuilt, light shave, acid dip or steam cleaned with new vavle stem seals.

We supply crank angle sensor to suit

So, with DOHC does that add more hp when you add bolts ons then with a SOHC? I'm a moron at knowing the difference between the two, and no I don't mean in the simple obvious nature of DUAL and SINGLE.

I think it would depend on how much better the DOHC head flows vs the SOHC head.

But I mean can it make a difference between the .0000001 gain lancers get vs 10 or 15 hp gain from bolt ons?

I think it does make a difference in bolt on gains. Like most cars in our group gain a decent amount of power from intake and exhaust whereas we only get 1-2 if that. With a DOHC I think the gains will match the other cars in gains.

few pages back i had the following mods.

Bolt on mods, i was robbed with power with wrong gearbox, cat and stock sohc ecu.

I will update the results in a couple of weeks i will bolt on the following mods up top plus adjustable cam gears. I want to see how far i can push it before i do engine internals. So far the response to modification is very positive and there is plenty of potential specially if i have a SAFC or piggyback/standalone ecu.
