They don't sell.

I work for a dealer, and they sit and sit till the cows come home. There has been one on the lot for nearly half a year.

Looks like it BELONGS with these: (which it should because afterall, ITS A SATURN...)

and it's nice that you throw in an old model saturn to make my statement seem outlandish.

You show two 2005 year Saturn Ions, and a 2006 Vue Redline, against a 2007 Sky. You're trying to just as hard to 'fudge' it as you accuse N1te of.

Exactly, so do I. We still have a couple of '05s.

What is this nonsense that you speak of. Either way this

is going to be what people REALLY want to drive.

I use a 94 saturn for humour effect. Sky does look like the redline ya got me there. I just think it may be the best thing Saturn has made in ~25 years even if it falls apart when you pull off the lot.

That depends on what part of the country you're in. In colder climates they don't sell in winter... Also certain colors just don't seem to sell.

I guess Honda are trying to keep the new model cycle long for the more expensive end of the range - the NSX and the S2k which is a good thing from the perspective of buyers getting miffed about their cars being 'old model' in like 4 months. But seriously, with these two models, they are running into serious dangers of people putting it off 'till the next one comes out' sort of thing. I mean, I actually like the NSX but I'd never buy one cos it's pretty much the same as the car they were selling in 1985. They were good then and so they should be good now, but surely others have moved on since. Even the ITR I rekon is quicker than the S2000, unfortunately is hampered by being fwd.

The same goes for the S2k. Here we are looking at a Saturn as a potential rival (although that is stretching the definition of potential somewhat). When honda brought it out, it was pretty cutting edge, but now its power is really not all that much for the capacity. I understand there's the handling, but while power isn't everything, it's a lot of things. Unless you drive around cones all day, that is.

I hope they keep the name S2000 when the new one eventually arrives. Would be rather silly to call the the S2007.

p.s. the 1985 figure came directly out of my ar$e. The point is, it's a long time ago.

That's exactly what makes the nsx and s2k so great... The fact that they never did major revamps means that they just perfected the existing model. Some people may argue the cars are dated, but I think they've just been made that much better by keeping the same model.

^^I agree with you on that totally. There's nothing more annoying that a company putting on new turn signals and a new bumper and calling it a new model. I'm not one of those sad cases that has to drive the very newest, but it really bugg3rs the re-sale and makes parts that much more difficult to get. You end up having to scour the earth for parts of models made between March and July of a particular year or something.

The thing is though, they might have over-done it slightly with these two. The NSX certainly
IMO. They're great cars and there have been updates here and there and I'm sure a competent driver in an NSX can run several rings round the evo but the point is that you feel that Honda can do better, and really they should. The real master at this are Porsche. Ignore the silly codes and they're all 911's. The old ones are still extremely cool and yet the new ones look every bit the part. They should try to achieve a similar effect on these two (nsx and s2k)...

I'd take an S2000 over any crappy Pontiac or Saturn.

All the new GM's will have good interiors. This trend starts with the '07 Tahoes.

Dude, we get it. You would eat the corn out of Honda's ****. Honda is the new Jesus. No one can come close to the allmighty greatness that is Honda.

If you want a slow roadster thats good at parking lot speed cone courses, the miata and S2000 are a wonderful set of cars. If you feel that autocross is one of the weakest forms of racing, or if you want any little bit of torque or speed, however, the Sky Redline/Soltice GXP will flat out own them.
