how interesting is , there is not one complain about the pops and bangs tune, so far

 

I think most of us think it's kinda neat. Especially all the people out there that haven't heard it before.

 

I just find it funny , when I posted it in here many people said its ricer who need that etc. lol

But now out of this forum people actually thinks a right way. It does gives a car a really good sound and character. Specially when you drive through tunnels

I actually love mine so as everyone who ever heard it and drove my car too. .

Really a fun thing to have.

 

It was mainly nemsin and his hard parking hatred for anything new added to cars built from 2008 and above.

People in Europe (Like EVO magazine) are okay with it as they have had exposure to it in cars like this for some time now.

 

Fixed for you. I put it right up there with block off plates to reduce intercooler efficiency and synthetic engine sounds played through the speakers. If I want to "pretend" I am in a race car, I will play Gran Turismo.

But to each their own, some people think undergarriage glow and spinning rims are cool too.

 

Sorta like a spoiler that is only efficient above 100 MPH on a street car. Not sure how a block-off plate that cheaply and effectively deals with an issue can be considered "useless".

That's ok, if you think its the same then you have all the right to do it.
well, when you say it out loud then you just expose that how much you don't know about this.
There is a big difference between fake sound from the speakers vs real pops/flames from the exhaust.
The plastic plate is kind of iffy though, but that has nothing to do with this.
Grand turismo is not about pretending you are in a race car, its pretending you are a race car driver.

call me ricer, then. i'd drive the crap out of my car with it sounding like a rallyx car LOL. i don't daily it, so i i'm not worried about it getting old. i'd do it, if i didn't have to start all over with a completely different ROM.

 

I don't have a button so only works over 3600 rpm, basically you do have to drive it hard to start making pops and bangs and sometimes flames.
Other then that its just an other Evo on the street try to looks like a race car

the RS has the button or a settings, if I am right that would do pop all the time when you lift the throttle. That would be the only difference between mine and that.
I don't know how aggressive they did tuned the Ford pops and bangs, mine is kind of mild. Doesn't goes to the extreme. But certainly you can make mine louder if I ask the tuner.
Guys even stated they kind of missing the pops in normal mode so they prefer the sport

It's ok to be different- I def think it sounds ricey. I find it very annoying the rare times my catless car does it on throttle lift off.

Rob's racecar is different, makes sense. I don't want it on an extremely mild car that's used for the street.

 

his tune could work for me. i very, very rarely hit 4k RPM while driving around town. if it helped during track days, i'd be in. or even for the occasional fun.. then i could be sure to hit 5k from time to time
