Focus RS
You are attempting to oversimplify things. Weight is not the only factor. The IX has numerous advantages over the I that more than make up for the extra weight.
In my mind, the Focus RS doesn't not have enough advantages over an Escort RS to outweigh (pun intended) the extra weight.
Focus RS has no front diff, is not full time awd, has a clutch based twinster rear diff that will have issues with heat and increased hp, and is heavy.

I have done the same with the Evo. The Evo IX is a bloated pig compared to the Evo I. Why didn't Mitsubishi use more expensive aluminum and composites to keep the weight the same? Why did Mitsubishi need to add an astonishing 500 lbs to the car? These are all questions you have asked of Ford, yet don't care to ask of Mitsubishi because it means you'd have to admit you're just a ****ing fanboy troll.
The rest has already been argued, to death. It's all bull**** speculation on your part premised on your assumptions that the Evo system is the "best". Whatever the **** "best" even means.
Do you really not know why a helical front diff is better than an open front diff? Here is a good summary http://www.roadraceengineering.com/quaife.htm
Pretty classic "I just want to argue" behavior. Rob just wants to argue I think to improve his English skills, and nemsin just wants to argue because he's an Evo fanboy and apparently can't stand that there is a car out there that may fill the hole left by the Evo's departure from the market. Or he's upset that in a thread about the Ford Focus RS, people are actually talking about the Focus RS and not metaphorically giving Mitsubishi a *******.

Only the 2004 RS model had a helical front diff.
You don't even know what Evos have? Come on man. They call this "ignorance".
i simply answered your statment. for an exmaple the 8 RS does handles the best, because of the front diff and the weight :

Nobody is arguing with you. "Better" is a completely subjective term. For a track car, sure, a front diff is better as it will result in faster lap times. Most people who buy an RS won't track their car. Most people don't track their Evos. Most people don't track their car, regardless of what it is. All those track goodies are just there so people can brag at the bar about how their car has racing pedigree.
Most evo owners are not in this or any forum, let just start with that... lol

Just want to post this again...
The 2003-2004 GSR did not have a helical front diff, that is a LSD. The 2003-2004 Evo GSR had AN OPEN FRONT DIFFERENTIAL.
Only the 2004 RS model had a helical front diff.
