They left the evo out of their test because they're chicken ****! LOL. :-)

 

I think it would be a slightly faster than the FE besides the 0-60mph, But the FQ would be a really hard cookie for the RS.
I would even go that far the FQ340 would be faster a bit.

 

I doubt the magazines are "chicken ****". They don't care. Given Mitsubishi's financial problems, I wouldn't be shocked if the magazine asked for an Evo and were told no.

In the USA, AMG A45 = AMG GLA45

It's been for sale here since late 2014.

I was actually cross shopping it with the Focus RS before I put the deposit on the RS.

Fun car with great power but the $$$$ is a but much for what it is.

The review that Bryan posted is for the AMG GLA45 which is the AMG A45 as he said. It looks to be the prior model year though as the reviewer quotes only 355 hp, and the 2016 has 375 hp. If it weren't so darn expensive, I'd be very interested in this car.

A45 AMG (hatch), CLA A45 AMG (sedan) & GLA45 AMG (crossover) are not the same.

I repeat, the A45 is not sold in the US.

Although it's like saying the Fiesta ST in the USA isn't a Fiesta ST because it's different than the UK version... You are technically correct, the GLA45 chassis is extended a little longer in the back compared to the platform sharing A45, so.. you win the internet today.

It's ironic that you want the A45 to come here but the AWD is very much like the Focus RS, it's automatic and also "heavy". All the things you said where crap about the Focus RS.
