Kinda wondering if it would be worth venturing to a pHIC- Up state like North Dakota where a Ford dealership has one sit on their lot for a month as an oddity and will sell at $500 over invoice.

So what is the hp gain from a "pops and bangs tune" (hint: it starts with a 0)

But hey at least it wastes fuel and raises egt's.

That block feature is looking better and better!

I would love to have my Evo pop off throttle like that when driving hard (only).

I'm super excited for these things to come out. I won't get to own one for a long while from now but at least there's finally a car Evo-ish in nature to look forward to!

EGT's only really matter if you're holding the car at WOT for 7 miles. Beyond that a tune for pops and bangs won't hurt anything. True anti-lag with air bypass pass and spark cut does hurt turbo, but what ford has done is harmless.

And it only wasted fuel if you're in not in "normal" mode.

So is the Lamborghini Aventador lame because it basically has a flame coming out of the exhaust constantly? Or what about Ferrari 430 that pop and burble some on decel?

I do have an Evo 4 exhaust manifold and all the tubing for the air bypass for true anti-lag though... hmm...

-10 to -20 in timing load cells 0-60 from 3500 to 8000 rpm

done.

for extra flametastic, add a bunch of fuel in the fueling compensation table in the same loads and rpm cells.

You have to put the car in open loop at those load/rpm points if you want it to add fuel.

Really, more of this? I'm sure fuel consumption is minimally effected, EGTs aren't a concern, and not everything done in the name of making a car more fun to drive needs to have a quantifiable HP increase.

Let me guess, you're also the kind of guy who says:

"Sorry honey, unless it increases the chances of insemination, I'm not doing it. Only missionary with the lights off for me."
