The time will tell how much and expensive, reliable will be, when you actually go beyond magazine racing.

as i mentioned it many times before, i have high hopes for the RS, And i think there is a huge chance to even be a better car as the Evo.
I mean at least the evo is the time the RS will come out will be about 8 years old. car on a market
Rob can you imagine this new RS with some throwback vinyl and some Escort RS Coz hood grills.... oh yeah oh yeah give it to me

I am in line to testdrive and hope its not a flaming box im just a little disappointed that its turning into a show pony not a tuner car.

there will be many case like that, i am sure of that.
If i heard it right, Ford also will have some supporting program for racers. Maybe even something strong like Mazda or Subaru have. We will see.

this is how and old RS sounds even today in rally trim its "only" 2WD but the sound.... RS always sounded the best in my oponion in rally and the delta
I am sure they will sort the sound out. they have a very good reputation and history on that department for sure. example even today

also other maybe interesting twist coming soon hopefully in the usa too.
another rally born car trim coming soon. the RS will be a king i think still, but its an interesting add on for a car scene in the USA where the ST and RS entered, specially for the Fiesta ST.

I'm only sad about the production numbers I have seen so far. Last I saw was 1600 for US? That's few enough it'll take a good year for me to see one in my neck of the woods.

Hahahahhahahha!!!

- We want a normal customer to launch the car as quickly as an expert driver....

- Stall control/prevention

- Engine failure "solved" by common off the shelf octane booster

- 310hp ecoboost doing well, 350hp same motor 'several failures'

Have to go into menu to activate launch rpm? Shouldn't that be just activated by 0mph, clutch-in? Wonder if its a sticky setting or resets as soon as you start rolling or use it.

Will be interesting to see how well the motors hold up, especially considering people should be able to turn up the performance even more with Ford Racing Procal tuning AND keep their warranties https://fordperformanceracingparts.com/calibration/

I wondered the same thing. I hope its either easy to access or can be permanently enabled.

Was also interesting to see the slow-motion clip of the launch. I'm starting to feel like I'm unduly criticizing the RS, but it was rather depressing to see the front wheels spinning wildly while the rears were not. I wonder if that's with the full 70% torque split to the rear.

Good eye. I have been down on the fwd biased awd system since the Ford engineer posted about how the awd system really works. See 3:08 in video for why I believe full-time awd is better.

So, on evideo talks about how you don't feel the front pulling the car through corners like a typical haldex, and one video shows it blowing the front tires off.... Sigh..

I would have loved to see them launch the car with the "launch control" (that's another story about what I heard with that as well) on loose surface like gravel and see it turn into a turbo Honda ROFL HAHAHAHHAHAHAH!
