Finally a dry track day! It was still cold as hell, 32* in the morning and high 40's in the afternoon but I'll take the no rain!
Went to Palmer Motorsports Park this weekend. First off, this track is EPIC. Seriously the most challenging, interesting, exciting and scary track I have ever been on. It's also very addicting as I cannot wait to go back and continue to shave off more time. The track is setup with a bunch of camber and off camber surfaces so traditional lines don't always work. It tripped me up at first but once I understood I dropped 20 secs and then every session after I shaved off another second each time. This track is like driving a mountain run with no speed limits. So much elevation change, so much surface change, so many blind apexes, so challenging!
I'm still off a good pace for this car but again, this was literally the first dry track day in the car and I am still getting used to it. I also kept traction control fully on since it was cold and I'm learning the car. It was starting to get in my way but I also wanted to drive the car home. As you can see in the videos, this track is VERY unforgiving. One mistake and you could be in a world of hurt.
I'm exhausted today, enjoy the videos.
Fastest laps with my GoPro. My GoPro decided to freeze up and stop working after this. This GoPro 10 has been nothing but trouble for me.
Question about the Supra transmission, does it hold whatever gear you select when in manual mode? For example if you're going 40 in 4th gear and floor it, will it stay in 4th and accelerate from there or will it kick down to whatever the lowest gear for 40 is?

Stays in gear. Will even happily stay bouncing off the rev limiter as I found out this last weekend at the track. lol

Yep, it stays in whatever gear you tell it to be in. The only time it will downshift on its own in manual to a lower gear is if you are going too slow in that gear. Like it wont do 5 mph in 4th gear. But if you mash the gas @15mph in 4th gear, it wont downshift and wont upshift until you tell it to.
Been a little bit more active on the Supra forums and have been reminded, once again, that gaw damn a lot of the supra owners are idiots, close minded and think $$$$ mean mo' better in all aspects.
I really miss the golden days of this forum. Going to go back to the shadows on the Supra forums. Not worth it.

Exactly why I don't reply to anyone unless im making a joke or making an update. Like you said, just not worth it.
Great video of Misha driving a well setup Supra by Bilstein. Not one mention of the car having rear bump steer issues. Having experienced bump steer myself in the supra stock and then it being completely gone once I set up the suspension properly, the video is no surprise.
