fixed roof cars are not government tested for roll over. so DOT approved belts don't have to worry about it.
[QUOTE=chu;10235837]The transmission alone is worth more than my car,
I drove it before the airshifter was install; dogboxes feels freakign awesome. I worked on that car up to the minute we left for Ohio last year. Was peaking at 9s, on Hoosiers, at the Buschur shootout, but it didn't happen. Damn thing ran 9s on street tires though!
The Ferrari is tamed compared to the Evo and GTR. The GT-R is nuts. He claims its no longer fun to drive becasue its too much to handle.[/QUOTE
Yeah man LC is a pretty cool cat. First time I met him.

Roll overs are not very common in HPDE, but they do happen. Only roll over I've seen or heard about was at the CBP event a few years ago...
Got almost everything done that I needed/wanted to:
Only thing I need to do on Saturday morning is swap brake pads.
- New motor mounts (old ones were torn in half--which explains the two ppower steering hose rips in the last six months and the difficulty with 2-3 shifts)
- New transmission mounts
- New front lower control arm (lollipop) bushings (old ones were torn)
- Oil changed
- Trans fluid changed
- Diff fluid changed
- Brake fluid changed
- Front sway bar installed

what pads?
We should swap cars for a session. I am curious how the FSB feels. A CR buddy of mine has a set of Turner sways he'll give me for a song, but I like to slowly make changes and see the results and I feel like I already made enough changes since my last visit. This time around its harnesses, roll bar and the dual fuel pump setup. Didn't want to add another variable into the equation.
Hawk DTC-60s all around.
I only put a big-effin' front bar on...rear bar is still stock (if I keep it at all). I got the Hotchkis (33.4mm hollow bar)...was going to get the H&R but got a deal on the Hotchkis....so we will see how it goes. I probably should have left the stock bar in just to see how much difference the motor/trans mounts made...not to mention the new lollipops...I think the LCABs made a tremendous difference in turn in, but can't be sure because of the bar.
Once I get a few sessions in the car we can certainly do that!

Thai, I'll help if needed. I gotta get my acd bled right too.
someone yesterday told me another way to try to bleed. Hook up a Motive bleeder/pump at the tcase under car. Then remove acd reservoir cap then pump the air out from bottom to top..
they said it worked for them.

^ make sure you hotwire the solenoid when you do that so the fluid can go through.
just kidding about the front roll bar. it's a major job on the evo and i would never try to do it at the track.

I've never tried the DTC series myself, but guys I know have run the 60's & 70's but they mostly run on R-comps. I've also seen that when the DTC pad deposits get wet they fuse to the rim and can't be removed without some nasty abrasive chemical and a lot of eblow grease.
All our cars (you, me and Dan) are similar so it will be interesting to see how the minimal mods come into play along with the different drivers.
