Hah. It's a friend of mine trolling.
Lots of stuff coming in. Hoping to order a couple things this afternoon, too. Waiting on pics from a fellow EvoMer and I'll pay for my intake.
Looks like I'm spending the weekend with a shovel. My brother had a water pipe break in his front yard.

Ordered a Tomei baffle/scraper. I should have all the parts I need on the way so I can wrap up the engine and get it in the car. Anyone want to loan me some timing tools?
I think you'll have yours running before mine... I finished the clutch and flywheel install yesterday afternoon (it took me a totally of 2 1/2 days, compared to the 5 days it took me the first time). But during the reassembly, I OVER tightened the positive connection to the starter! Ahh! I'm going to try to rebuild it but may need a new one.

That sucks, man! I hate stuff like that.
Ordered my Whiteline steering rack kit. I'm guessing it'd be much easier to install wit the motor out of the car rather than to drop the subframe later.

definitely love builds like this over builds where people just dump 10K in their car on performance parts to go fast lol I think that rebuilds are awesome especially seeing the before and after's. Really looking forward to your updates lol
Quick question. Did you lap those new Supertech valves into your head? If not, they may not seal all the way. I wouldn't want to see you throw this all back together to find you have 120psi on all cylinders (due to them not seating all the way).

I didn't specifically ask him to. I am just assuming that he knows what he's doing. Maybe that's a mistake on my part. I'll send him a quick not and ask him.

My progress for the day.
Actually removed the xfer case from the car. Not sure why I hadn't at this point.

Installed a new TPS connector, thanks to Matt at SpoolinUp. I think I finally figured out de-pinning:

And just to get the head gasket off my shelf. Cleaned the deck well with a rag and some brake parts cleaner:

Now it's off to see The Hobbit... finally.
Playing the waiting game on some parts, now. Hopefully the steering rack kit and scraper will be here this week. I'm guessing my big pile of parts will show up the week after.
