I would imagine the MAF would definately read off since the diamiter changed and require a tune so it would know the correct amount or volume of air entering the system. It may not throw a fault code but still the sensor was based on the original tube diamiter and the amount and speed the air enters through that tube. Not the new sheetmetal or such you install aftermarket thowing all the numbers it reads in to the trash becasue they are not true. After being reprogramed it would better calculate the A2F ratio allowing better performance. This obviously doesn't count if you car is pre MAF.

Does anyone in NJ know a good place to get a proper Tune done? I'd prefer not to do this half-assed. Or is it better to get a reflash or piggyback system?

Iveytune (http://www.iveytune.com/) is in NJ, I haven't had work done there personally but I see a lot of positive feedback about them around the forums.

Thanks I'll check them out once I get the car and leave some feedback about it. Maybe they will be able to make a reflash kit for everyone else off of the basic tune of the car.

I've heard that the 0-60 is around 5.4ish (if you trust Subaru's numbers) but I'm not sure about the 1/4 mile times.

Seems like they are officially trying to keep the one up on Mitsu's. Does anyone think that Mitsu may adjust their price or do something for the 2009 year or 2010 model to better compete with scoobie's recks A price drop in march would be nice 27.5k with the recaro kit would be nice.

Yea, earlier in this thread. They didn't have the numbers for the new recks then. Now that its official I was wondering if Mitsu is going to press release some information about the next year or expectations outside of the articles always posted. Guaranteed that someone has kept a closer eye on it then me. We know that mitsu's releasing the hatch in the USA according to their press release and they expect to carry the ralliart line as awd from now on, but I have not seen any price information recently. If any one has some contacts with press releases for Mitsu pass it on.

It'd be interesting to see the Galant VR4 come back.

I have not heard that name in a while. But if you remember this will be called the galant fortis in Japan. So it is kindof the new VR4. What they need to bring back is the GSX Eclipse. An AWD Turbo convertible would be nice. I was thinking about putting an aftermarket targa top or such on the lancer when I get it. If I can get this stick or at a better price because of the scoobie without getting the cheaper parts, I am all for it. Plus the longer the two battle the better they get and better things for us. More competition = more Stuff. First step for mitsu was to release the ralliart. If they recoup the sales needed for the SST they will release a manny. I just hope its not the 6 speed from the other MR. I hear they break eaily. Plus if we say to the dealer, listen Give us recaros or we go to scoobie they will. I already talked to a guy in DE about it.

If they based it off the current Eclipse, it would be more in the spirit of the 3000GT/GTO/Steath -- the Eclipse got HUGE for the 4th gen model.
