^true but it would still be a bad *** mitsubishi racer. One for the street and the Evo for the rally events. But either way the competitors who are not technically competing should do something to help their market. The RalliArt was the best Idea mitsubishi has had since the first evo. Brodening the market helps their sales. Now they need to adjust their pricing or standard equipment to make it better. Who need's FAST anyway. Yea its nice but I woul rather have an aftermarket security system and a better starting price for the car. Plus everyone wants the recaro seats for this car. Making it a whole kit is stupid. though the cost of the recaros almost make the kit a value, i still dont need all of it. I will end up putting aftermarket Taillights and Headlamps eventually anyway.

i think in jap/asia, they considered the australian made 380 as a galant, but mitsu tanked it coz they brought out the v6 when petrol prices hit highs, oh and it was FWD ...

Their non-turbo and Ralliart equivalents are Galants, but the Evo is still a Lancer.

They better fix the pricing on the RA and get this straight. I see alot of people going stick and saving the extra $2k for extras.

The base price on the Ralliart is what, $900 more than the base WRX? Considering the difference in hardware (SST, Superior AWD system) I don't see the price being that off, at least when Mitsubishi originally thought about it

I do agree with you either way, I'd like to see a Ralliart with Recaro package for about $26k out the door.

Edit: I wouldn't think Mitsu would do anything... at least not in 09.
Probably not till 2010, all 09' models are basically out. But yes, this is a response from Subaru to Mitsubishi...

They are telling me $26.6k Cash. If you finance they are still talking $27.6k Thats a little more then $900. Thats more like $2k Which is the cost of the tranny in this case but with the stick not being an option they should still drop the MSRP about 1k to keep in the obvious area of the recks.

Well as far as the local dealers know it will be cash, certainly not financing through Mitsubishi we'll see if I can weasel them down around $26k even otherwise probably not happening.

Here's some info Mitsu released to yahoo autos, so pricing should be pretty close to that. Click on the very bottom for the Ralliart...
