I posted numerous graphs showing boost vs rpm
boost response is good so not interested in a smaller turbine housing
Sound favors the BW in terms of compressor loudness
It's a 68mm turbine wheel vs ~62mm turbine wheel so it doesn't want to slow down as quickly between shifts, but no actual data available to compare transient response
Now that it is pretty much dialed in I like this setup better. The sound of the exhaust is definitely different and especially when you start trying to make boost. Hard to explain, but I assume it is due to the larger turbine wheel. The car is making more power on the topend with equivalent spool, but that is slightly unfair to the GTX since I modified the MIVEC to run more advance. Perhaps a GEN II GTX3582r would have made similar results, but the larger turbine wheel seems to make the car less knock prone likely because my drive pressure is lower. I am running the car in 25F to 35F hotter conditions and consistently running 34psi without any knock and I could not do that on the GTX. Now that I think about it, I might as well add 1-2deg on the top and see if it likes it since adding timing at peak torque didn't induce knock.
If I did anything (assuming my life would not end due to my wife killing me) turbo wise I would go with the S364.5 SXE because it would be a directly bolt on to my current setup and flows another 100hp. (64.5/68 vs my current 62/68).

Faster or slower, IMO the best thing is how it feels to the driver . So much data here, all I want to do is go for a ride. 🤣 It appears faster and it appears just as fun.

Pretty decent power for pump fuel. It's too bad your dont have access to e85 as that would really wake this thing up! Curious, I noticed with your new motor you dropped the compression...is that bc you only run pump fuel? I had this dilemma when I was doing my motor as far as higher comp and less boost or lower comp and more boost. Seems it might end up being a wash but being that I predominantly run e85 I rolled the dice and went 10:1

Whats that spray coming out of the bypass when you lift, methanol injection?
I am having trouble with 35psi of boost and 93 octane with 12:1 air fuel ratio.
The most I've ever seen on 93 solo was about 22psi.
Are there any other cars with similar setups as far as pump fuel and 35psi. I'm trying to figure out why every other platform stops at 20psi for 93 octane usually.
Although I do recall some 10 years ago seeing a 4g63 pull a similar stunt.
Anyways, regardless, congrats on finishing and then taking it one step further and the dyno trial. It was quick and concise.
Might be time to consider moving on to airplanes or something more complicated, seeing how there isn't much more room to grow without getting extravagant, onwei

You are not giving me enough credit...AFR is actually 12.66:1 at 35psi and ~4700rpm Car actually spikes 36-37psi on the street since it loads it more than the dyno and then tapers to 33psi. GTX would knock past 32psi, but this setup seems to be much less knock prone due to header design and larger turbine wheel. My buddy Walker at www.mpfab.com runs the same setup and he also runs 37psi on pump tapered to 33psi, but his setup makes ~650@wheels EVO 8. He has a high rpm cam (S3 like) and AMS intake manifold so those both flow more on the topend, which is why he makes more power. My wastegates are recirculating and his are open dump, which he says were worth 40hp on his setup.
30+psi is very common in the EVO community on 93 pump.

It is compressed air so I assume it is reacting to the pressure change once the BOV opens. If you spray compressed air using a blower nozzle it will sometimes look like that. Not sure what makes it look like that, but I am sure there is a reason based on simple physics.
