you should've rotated tires after 5kmiles (that's what the manual says btw) and noticed if there were any thread problems...

If you were to do some research you would find that this is common and happens to a lot of us. My clutch went out around 9000 miles and the tires made it to 15000 miles I would rotate every other oil change.

Give her a break guys or read the whole thread before posting something rude and/or confrontational. The car WAS at the dealership for a tire rotation at 5k miles. The tech said a rotation was not neccesary. For the front tires to wear down to the point of a blowout at 9k miles, there HAD to be visual warning sign at 5k miles.

That's easier said than done in many cases... I find jacking up the car one corner at the time and rotating the wheels is a major hassle, a lot of hard, heavy work specially without a lift, impact wrenches, etc.... She said she took the car to the dealer for service but they did not rotate the wheels for her. I think they bear responsability for that. Like I said, rotating your own tires is not a walk in the park...

uh I just read all of that and I still don't know a girl that can drive a manual well. Why would you even believe that bs for a second? I wish my salesman would have tried that, I would have said "let's get that in writing."

Are you kidding? It's takes me literally 15 minutes to switch from my stock wheels to my Volks. Go buy you a small Craftsman floor jack for about $30 and jack up the whole side of the car.

What would you do if you had a flat? Sit on the side of the road and wait for AAA?

Just because it takes you 15 minutes to do it, it means nothing to someone else.... I have to take all my tools from a storage closet inside my loft, to the parking lot. Then I got to lug all 4 tires and wheels the same way, through my loft to the parking lot. That's at least 15 minutes of hard work. The wheels/tires weight around 40 pounds each and they gotta be carried/rolled nearly 100 yards and up/down stairs. Same with the stupid jack and an armful of tools. For me it's a royal pain to do it, literally a pain since I've got roator cuff problems and it takes me about one hour. You don't know what you are talking about when you judge a task from your experience. Not everybody is young, strong and superman

if i had that much money i would've had them do it though. i trust dealer mechanics' experience the most. and if a problem arises from their work, they will stand behind it more than a private mechanic.

Well....make yourself more clear next time. I assume you live in a apartment so you should've said that. Also...I'm 30 years old so I'm not as young as you might think.

Went to my local Mitsu dealer on Sat. to have them look at some stuff and it turns out there gonna fix everything under warranty. Heater switch hard to turn, IC sprayer switch hard to push in, Rattleing seat belt (The part where the seat belt goes into), New wing due to clear peeling not sure if there gonna spray it or give me a new one I dont care either way.

I also got some new tires put on Friday night what a difference a new wheel balane makes Its like a new car. Getting an alignment on Monday I cant wait to see how it will be then

Well, the first few things are no biggies, the wing on the other hand is, thank god they will replace ur wing, most people have issues with the drive chain warranty more than a simple little think like a IC sprayer button which most people don't use cuz of the minumal effects it has on the core temps

If you want to see if they will replace the wing just put a small mark on the outside of the wing just where it touches the trunk. You can put a small dot with a whiteout. When they give you your car back and this mark is there, then they just repainted the wing Unless they will tell you that they replaced it then show them the mark and demand a new one.

I went to the dealership today, same peeling problem with the wing. After a few exchanges they decided to replace the wing. At first the service manager tries to place the blame on car washes I go to. But its really hard since I do all the washings myself, all the car washes I picked have nothing but waters going on to my car. Then I put up the argument that if it was the car wash that did the damage, then the same damage and fade would've existed all over the car. But it was limited to the carbon fiber wing only.

Then finally he decided to send the car to the back and let the mechanics look at it. And five minutes later he told me that he'll call me when the new wing comes in.

I really hate talking to sales person/front guys, they always tries to put that business face with you. I wish I have a digital camera to show you guys. The fade was so bad that there is 3 separate layers of fade/peeling right now.
