Warranty Issues <Mega Merge>
When I bought my car I was talking to my sales guy about aftermarket parts, and he told me that his service department will void the warranty for anything they can. Honest sales guy?!?!?! He also told me that he can give me a catalog of approved aftermaket parts, although he never did.
Kyle, most MBCs are nowhere near $150. Please search to see which ones are recommended and most commonly used. Your stock boost gauge is fine as long as you know how to read in BAR, and as long as you don't plan on pushing more than 22psi. If you are going to go over 22psi, you will need an aftermarket gauge.
As far as asking the dealership, it all depends if the rep gets invovled. My dealer OK'd my mods, yet now the Rep has been involved and my drivetrain warranty has been flagged. The Rep sited the BOV, Intake and exhaust all as mods that would put my warranty into question.
I would also like to mention that this rep (CT/NE region) is an a$$hole. Avoid him at ALL costs. He takes great enjoyment in saying "NO."

Huntington Beach Mit is a joke and their service sucks. I bought a new 05 evo 8 from them and about 1,000 miles later my ACD leaks. I took the car in the have it bled. They told me that the warrenty is void because I tight the valve myself to stop the leak. Talking about that I have to fill out the survey from JD Power for their service. I can promise you guys one thing. I will never buy mit product again and I don't care how good their cars are.

It's honestly not as bad as you might think. To do clutch replacement on an 05 e46 M3 is 1711.92 out the door. That's parts, labor and tax. It's certainly more expensive than doing a clutch in an EVO, but not exponentially so.

I don't know about others but I bought a 30K car that was advertise to to be fast with best back warranty and I would like to drive it that way. If I accidently slip the clutch on a stock car too much and it went out I consider that a defect or poor designing by

As for someone telling anyone that a clutch is covered for ANYTHING over 12/12 on any Mitsu. You are either asking the wrong person, uninformed, newbie etc, or they are lieing to you. Read your warranty manual and that is what the factory goes by. That is the purpose for warranty coverage chart.
