Warranty Issues <Mega Merge>
I could be mistaken but if I understood the dealer when I got it he said that the five year bumper to bumper and the ten year drivetrain was for the original owner. I think he said that the drivetrain turned into a five year and the b to b would be a three year or 36k miles.

evo ecu tuning & mitsu warranty?
i've heard mixed answers from people. some say that the dealership can tell if the ecu has been reprogramed, some tell me that they can't. anyone have some personal experiance with this kinda of situation? thanks
They can tell if they need to. It depends on if they have a reason to look for it or not.
All they have to do is run a check sum on the CPU and they will be able to tell if the code has been altered.

they wouldn't void your whole warranty, only things that go wrong that are related to whatever you install. I had a tbe, mbc, intake, safc, and turbo timer. My fifth gear synchro went out and they replaced under warranty
Wonder if they will void a warranty if someone had mods done to their car at the MOD 05 meet in the parking lot of the factory by invited aftermarket vendors, whom gave away items in the raffle(i.e. parts and reflashes) in front of mitsu engineers whom where there to give an Eclipse to one of these vendors for mods?
Just curious........
