I regret my AEM Tru boost it wont let me boost over 15psi when it is set at 24psi and my boost limiter is set at 25psi. my car starts stuttering when i strt to boost 2much and wont let me go ne fastr. and its not a boost leak. cant figure it out so im gon take it out and do ECU boost.

Why? because the stage 2 cci clutch is stiff?

 

I HATE my APR carbon fiber mirrors. I live here in Ohio and the sale rusted the metal. That and the paint flakes off. Its a pain in the *** always having to repaint them.

Getting rexpeed's CF ganador copy mirrors.
Saved a few hundred over getting real ganadors, and now wasted that few hundred trying to fix them up, and it won't even fix properly because the CF and clear coat was just that badly done!

and also the wiring.... omgg.... its like they got some old used wire to wire up the electronic part of it since it sometimes works, sometimes doesn't...
and the mirror part... omgg.... it doesn't sit flush with the mirror, and it's like they took it found mirrors at the local scrapyard, cut the shape they needed, then put it on.

Thats one of the biggest regret.... dunno how i forgot about that one >< ><

 

This is my first thread. i have read many but I am looking for help. I have made many modifications and regret the results. I put in what I was told a stage 2 clutch. I can not get it into gear easily on occasion. My tune shop says it is the transmission. It happened exactly at the time of installation. i have the HKS booster and am not certain of what boost I should set it at. Dangerous I know. I have a blow off valve I hate. First it was too noisy, not I keep blowing a hose off and can not get it to stay on.
I get a loud pop at take off but sometimes at times I am not using the clutch. I don't know what it is. Dealer says everything is the clutch. they are no help.
I need a new tuner. Are there any in the new york (queens area) that can be recommend. i will keep reading till then.

 

I'm sry guys but this site won't let me post threadds cuz im new but I just have a quick question for my evo9Mr. I just bought set of HKS 272 camshafts, hks Cam Gears, and methane injection. and im going to get a tune after all this is installed. This thread is the reason i got my exedy twin, so manny people are hating on their first clutch choice and end up getting the twin in the end. My only reget is my QTP cutout, the quality is top notch but its way to loud when opened. I had no idea how loud it was actually going to be.

 

I agree with you 100% if I got a lightly modded 8 I'd have the extra $ to have some fun with it and make it the way I want it.
But now with the IX, I love it, but it's not how I want it to be.

I dont regret much i did or got for the car cuz I do a ton of research. i do regret a few mods the prev owner did though that I have had to fix or in the process of fixing:

1. ACT clutch. I hate this thing with a passion as the concesus has already said. so I will leave my opinions to myself
2. Forge Motorsports BOV. On a replacement from them and problem still with surging
3. EBC red pads. . . killing my rotors
4. Perrin short antenna. . . doesnt pick up radio stations worth a ****
