Installed. It looks like a pretty good gain in HP/TQ (19/25), but I'm attributing a lot of it to fixing the boost leak with this TB. I'm just so happy that the boost leak is gone and the car drives better than it EVER has since I've owned it in 5 years!!! Also, when I'm ready to upgrade IM, I have a TB that is ready to go with it.

Here you go. It's pretty easy:
  1. OEM gasket
  2. adapter with small side towards IM
  3. 70mm gasket
  4. 70mm TB

Are those gains from a stock t/b or a ported t/b? Also do you have a picture of the adapter plate before install? How is the idle without the idle controller screw?

It was a stock t/b, but realize I had a boost leak. I replaced the throttle shaft seals a few months back, but it was now leaking on the component below that. I don't know what it's called and Mitsu doesn't sell the o-ring for it. I was going to match one up, but decided to go this route.

There is an idle screw. I'll take a pic later. It idles great! All dialed in.

The only problem I have is I can't get ecu to see 100% TPS. I can get it to say 99.60784314 at WOT and 17.64705882 at idle. On the stock tb it said 100% at WOT and 12.15686275 at idle. When I set the TPS to around 12 for idle it shows up around 96% at WOT.

You want to set it up for WOT. Not idle. Loosen up screws on tps and with the gas pedal floored (eng off of course) get the reading to 100%. Then tighten screws. Done!.

No problem. Also remember idle wont be 0% like some people think. And once in a while if you only see 99% throttle when floored that's ok also

It'll fit the 8 IM. What's it ported to? You may need to either have MAP or someone in your parts to build up the IM to 70mm or port the adapter to whatever your IM is bored out to (65mm I assume).

Update: I love it so far. The only problem I'm having is with the TPS. Now that I have it reading close to 100% at WOT the injectors won't shut off when I lift off the gas. TPS reads 17% when throttle is closed. I think it needs to be around 13% for injectors to shut off. Is that true? Is there a way to adjust injector shut off to 17% and will that affect anything else?

thanx for your answer!

Yeah, well, I bought the stock IM ported but I don´t know who ported. I asume is opened to 65mm if not, I will port the IM to 65mm. (the intake is in transit to my country) I bought it in ebay.

I saw that MAP sale this throttle and AWD too. So, he sale with the plate to fit in stock evo 8 IM?

That's funny, I was watching that IM on ebay. The adapter plate was included with my TB, same as the one in post 108.

Update: So far, love the TB. The only problem I'm having is that I can't get enough slack in the cable so the butterfly will close. It's about the same distance as the adapter plate. I believe once I am able to take off the adapter, then the butterfly will close all the way.

If I grabbed it with a T off my boost gauge line would that explain why my gauge is so damn slow? Or should I have bought Defi instead of prosport? Got any ideas about this? Where else could I grab it from?

btw, this throttle body idles and drives like stock very smooth. But I also had it installed with the MAP Rev3 Modified Intake Manifold and all this stuff:

ETS 3.5" FMIC
FIC 1100
BBK Full
TBE
Forge UNOS MBC
Spoolin Up COP
Synchronic DV
Walbro 255 LPH
Stock Intake with Amsoil Filter

Boost gauge is sloooooooow.
