Let me guess... you're a champion bench racer right? Defender of the STI flag and master of the "Law of Minimum Astonishment " and probably future owner of neither. How's that?

I'm more than happy to discuss any aspect of the EVO you wish as I drive one every day. Also, I have the #1 deposit on an STI and may drive it before you. If so, I'll let you know how it drives too.

Speedlimit.......
Oh thats funny, I m #1 and #3 for an STi spot in 2 dealers...
Anywayz, about that 600HP STi, thats a 2.0L, we are talkin about the potential of a 2.5L, once again, there is no replacement for displacment.

Obviously it needs more than that, because it's gettin' beat by the most basic Evo in all categories except for straight line speed. But from the way you write, it sure sounds like drag racing is all you care about. So I guess the STi is the right car for you.

BTW, the Evo does have the sport ABS with G sensor.

IF The evo had limited slip up front.. IT would Freaking destory the STi further more on that roadcourse.. Imagine The Sti having only 280 hp with no limited slip up front... There would be no comparison... Sti is just a piece of **** WRX with nuts slapped on to it.. Get a life dude.. Both great cars, stop being a jack ***

Ok, thats nice, I never said I don't like the EVO. The EVO beat the STi in a 1/10 of a second lap time, but in a stright line, STi was a lot faster then then EVO. And no one knows what DCCD setting was the driver using, maybe it was set in Auto mode, lab time can be improve by different DCCD setting.

It was already proven in Japan that STi 7 and 8 is faster then EVO 7 and 8.

last time i heard those were different cars

i dont want to be included in this whole thing, but i think it's completely worthless talking about these two cars at this point.

EVO top in handling
STi great acceleration

put a couple of bucks into each and there u have it, even MORE alike. (but it is noteworthy the evo will most likely need less money to equal or better the STi in speed, than the STi in handling)

That is true.

If we had Jap spec cars, I'd probably pick the Twin Scroll 2.0 STi. 8000 rpm redline ...

Even with the less powerfull JDM STI and the JDM EVO with all the goodies, they still lap within a fraction of a second of eachother(STI Spec C fastest). Tires make the biggest difference in grip. The STI has smaller tires than the EVO and it's still putting down similar lateral acceleration in all these mag tests. Put bigger tires on the US STI to match the EVO and a smaller front sway bar or bigger rear and bye bye EVO.
