I debated the credibility of this article in a separate thread. I still call bs, people will believe you if you tell them what they want to hear, and this is a prime example of it.

Ya I read all the same stuff, turbo in front of fire wall, aluminum direct inj. world engine etc.

Thats why I struggle with this info as well, although the first article I read is just as suspect I supose.

I'd prefer a 4g based X just becuase there will be fresh new parts for my 03' 8 that I will drive for ever and ever

Unless you have rich folks that are giving you their business at such a young age then I'll believe you.

Actually, I'm 17, and I'll be about 18/19 when the new GT-R comes out. And I'm in the automotive paint business. My brother owns his own company and I'll be buying a franchise from him. I'm not going to college and I'm homeschooled, believe me yet?

The kid sounds like he is telling the truth. There are huge margins in automotive paint. Good job kid, but please do me a favor and take some high performance driving classes before you buy the car.

Peace

Why do you guys want direct injection? Do you have any idea how badly that will slow the development of making this car go fast??? We would all just have to convert it back to low pressure intake stroke injection anyway.

Although I encourage the introduction of a new high tech alluminum motor, for the sake of making these cars go fast within a reasonable amount of time, I hope they keep the current engine setup.

Ummm, it will be slow in the begining but the direct inject actually allows the fuel to combust more completely. It also decreases knock, increases fuel economy, and creates more torque. Hope that helps your understanding.
