Yeah I know what you mean but I need to take out as much work possible when Im installing it. I might have to take it off when I do the complete install because I used one of those bolts for the two little bumper thingys, and it was to short so i had to like ram in the intercooler just to screw them in, i think I stripped the threading by a little bit but its holding right and I had to zip tie the top of the bracket just to keep it still. But it seems to be holding just fine.

Also another note I was having Idle problems one because I had extremely low coolant and two, luckily Josh told me this that remote for the fans needs to be against the radiator so I zip tied that to im going to clean it up a bit tomorrow because I have zip ties all over the place due to the remote. I went to the car club as well thats 15 mins away, and one guy follows me and ask your the guy with that turbo lancer right. I was like in my head HELL YEAH lol I will post up pics tomorrow for you guys I might get ready to install the gauges so I can knock that out of the way, the only problem is they wont be working because there not hooked up. But we will see maybe I will wait

i know exactly what you mean by getting everything done that you can before the actual install. but the intercooler only takes 10min to install. trust me though.. i have installed my full kit like 3 or 4 times just making sure everything is gonna bolt right in when i do the install in about a week. ive already installed my evo ecu, oil pressure, boost and wideband gauges, oil pan tap, fuel pump, new belts, and other miscellaneous stuff before so that i dont have to worry about these things when doing the install. im going crazy though! ive had every piece of my kit for months and months now and im just waiting untill june 1st so i have the extra money for the pro tune and then its done.

the "remote" doesnt need to be installed near the radiator at all , there is no temp probe on it , the factory ones are prone to cracking the solder on the board inside so if anything and yours didnt have the recall yet steve I'd move it away from the radiator , the farther from heat with anything electrical the better ....

I slid one end of the piece that sticks out on the box underneath the frame bracket closest to the relay box for now But I will make an aluminum bracket to secure it for good

well what happened was my idle kepted dropping down to 500-600 rpm and I thought that was part of the problem but I refilled the coolant and placed it next to the radiator... looks like im going to have to move it tomorrow, I originally had it placed on the battery tray where it sort off leans over I figured it was out of the way if I put there in the first place. I'll look at it tomorrow and see whats up.

I just fixed the boost/oil pressure gauge lighting, I had it hooked up to the wrong wire, so when II tried to turn up the cluster lights when the headlights are turned on the gauges will dim out and the boost gauge would turn white. I got it to where I turn on the headlights it stays blue and the oil pressure gauge turns green :-)

check out this vid!!! this is why I cant wait to go turbo

yep I'd move the fan to the front , make certain the one in the front is wired as a pusher not a puller , trust me moving it will free up so much space ,even a few customers with one still behind have reported heat melting on the frame of the fan I think the evo uses a metal fan shroud for the engine bay I cant remember though...

have you had your battery unhooked lately? if so thats the cause of the low idle , it takes a while for the car to relearn where the idle should be , after the 1st 3 or 4 stops mine stopped stalling into the parking spaces when cold..lol

I always had the battery on I just took it off a few days ago to install the fans. Great looks like I have more work to do with the fans . I tried putting it in the other slot but it wouldnt fit how do I get it in there with no problem? I will look at it tomorrow and figure out the problem, if I cant I will ask again
