But since we don't know the actual turbo on the FoRS is going to be yet, this is speculation.

If it is close to the Garrett Honeywell TS turbo that the Mustang has, people are getting +100whp/+100wtq out of it with standard bolt ons. I would say that is pretty inline with Evos.

At this point, I can't even tell who likes the car. It would help if each poster ended each post with a rating of how much they like the Focus RS.
RS Fanboy rating: 6/10.
Reasons why I like it: I like the direction Ford is going and I hope to see future RS models (cough Fiesta RS)
Reasons why I don't love it: conservative styling, fwd biased awd system, no weight saving measures taken.

Of the thousands of different models that have been made since the Model T, most people only ever get to have first hand experience with a handful of them. I will probably never get to drive a Ferrari, doesn't stop me from liking them.
You know you like the idea of it, you just don't know if you are going to like the reality of it. I think that is where most of us are with RS. I'm happy the car is going to exist, overall I like most of what the car has going on, but that doesn't mean it will translate to a car I like enough to buy or a car I'd even like the way it drives.
Quite a few years ago I thought I wanted an S4. I liked the all wheel drive, german understated luxury, V8 engine, what's not to like? It was the worst car I've driven in a long long time, gutless, ridiculously hard suspension, steering that felt like it wasn't hooked to anything, just awful.
I got an i3 for a loaner a few months ago, laughed at it, thought it looked like a ******* on wheels, interior styled by whole foods and I actually really enjoyed driving it. Very underrated car.
I'm guessing it's going to be closer to the Garrett that the 2.3L ecoboost in the Mustang gets since they are sharing the basic motor and the 2.3L has a twin scroll turbo, the first Ecoboost to utilize one.
I wouldn't be surprised if it isn't a larger Garrett on the FoRS since the car makes a bit more horsepower than the Mustang.
Much like most of the people in this thread, I don't agree with some of the FoRS decisions, however I am really excited to see what the 2.3L can do with some Ethanol.
I've already personally seen how the 1.6L Ecoboost responds. Even the dinky 1.6L with a turbo the size of a baby hand picks up +100wtq / +50whp with only a tune and E40, everything else stock.

i3. I laughed at a bunch of friends that got that *** ugly thing. Then I drove one, very enjoyable for what it is.
I wonder who Ford thinks is their target market for this car? Why not include fender flares? Doesn't RS stand for "Rally Sport." As far as I can tell, there is nothing Rally about the car. Why not try to use weight saving materials? The fact that Ford is already talking about a "hotter" version means even the engineers already know what areas to improve. http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/ne...cus-rs-planned
"Could have been"? Well in that case I give my ***** 9/10 cause it could have been 10 inches long, but it's not.
Ford appears to be targeting the same market as the STI, Evo (soon to be gone), and the Golf R, among others. Of the cars available, the STI is arguably the most extreme, and that comes up again and again in reviews. You either love the way it looks, or hate it. Cars like the RS and The Golf R, on the other hand, have less extreme styling, which is a safer avenue to go for, and potentially means wider appeal. I agree that I'd like flares, but I'm a 30 year old male who keeps Lego models of cars in his office.
