Hehe. I would chose Evo X over RA. As my mind always said, why would I make a slow car faster. I would rather make a faster car runs faster! And for all the hassle of mods to make the RA faster and match the evo is a waste of time for me and money. And plus the evo has the HP you wanted initially, why would you sacrifice the RAs warranty to do all those things just to run as fast as Evo X. Timings and adjustment on mods are not damn easy. .

You have a good Evo IX, I rather make that car faster and make it look better. Or trade it in to Evo X if you want to try the new 4B11 engine. You already got a good start on your car to either trade in to Evo X or just use your old Evo to mod it better. Going a step back is always something i find it wrong. And I choose Manual trans for me over any what so ever ATs! hands down!

Wow the New Subaru WRX has some good ****s and upgrades! This would be some trouble for the RA! Mitsu should had not delayed the released of RA!
Yeah, why release it so LATE in the year??? any info about that???

^Maybe they wanted to wait for Subaru's response to the Ra which might be the faster 09 WRX then one up that by giving the Ra better performance than the Ra that we have seen reviews of. I hope that happens.

That's what Subaru did when they released the STI after the Evo with higher displacement and more power. But I don't care if I'm wrong. I'm more concerned about how well the Ra responds to mods.

What I was getting at with post number 227 is that Mitsubishi was maybe waiting for the specs of the 09 WRX to come out first, then make a few adjustments to the Ra and make it better than 09 WRX. But whatever, I'm just speculating.

Whatever is faster is better. We will see the better one after the final battle between good and evil.

Ive owned a 04 RA. and i love evos.

ive also owned a 06 wrx, and a 07 STI and currently drive a 08 legacy for a daily driver.

The wrx will be faster than the ralliart no doubt about that.

However, the ralliart has it beat on looks, interior and exterior.

The downfall to the ralliart, not everyone wants the SST. Yes its nice, but some people want a normal manual so mitsu should leave that choice to the customers.

Neither of these cars (wrx or ralliart) are going to sell like hotcakes. Both will get mediocre gas mileage like 19-20mpg city. So its gona be on the backburner.

Ive worked as sales for subaru of dallas and we sold maybe 1 wrx a month. And maybe 1 sti every 2 months.

Nobody is buying these cars. theres no demand for em. Hell i had to sell a wrx for 1,500$ UNDER invoice.

Thats why i say, DONT buy a ralliart for MSRP. I bet you 100$ you can buy one for invoice a couple months after the dealer realizes its not such a hot car and nobody is banging on the door at 8am to buy one.

South Coast Mitsubishi in SoCal will be selling them under MSRP as soon as they get them. That's where I'll be buying mine.
