My guess is that any damage would be due to WOT max rpm where exhaust manifold gas pressure and shaft speed are highest.
Guys I was driving like miss daisy . I was driving to work cruising on the freeway. What you dont know which isnt related is that I have a 4.0 final drive. During that week of the break I have been driving normal. Shifting under 2500 rpms to conserve fuel .

That's very unfortunate. Have you contacted Blouch? If so what have they said?!

Sorry, I couldn't resist.
Any updates? I understand you were just cruising when the turbo failed, but how many pulls did you do at 500/475?
Also those numbers @24psi on a 50-51lbs/min turbo don't make sense to me. Are you certain you were at 24psi? You'd have to run 30+ psi for sure which is pushing it. I don't run my JB BBK Full higher than 28psig peak and taper to around 26psi on my 2.0L and it's been reliable for 40,000 miles so far.

No updates, they received the turbo yesterday. Waiting to hear from them. Yes I was running 26psi tapered to 24psi. I have every bolt on possible on a 2.3 build. This is a daily car for me that replace one of my Porsches duty as a DD. I don't do pulls or lets say I haven't done any. I don't drag more of a Autocross driver. I have a widebody Porsche that is built for my autocross needs. I built the EVO to be a Porsche killer if I decide to drive it in a Autocross event with the Porsche club. I much older then the average evo owner on this site. So I am a little conservative with my driving. It seems the seal went bad and was leaking oil into my hotside causing the smoke coming out of my tail pipe.

My bad, I forgot you are 2.3....makes a lot more sense now. Really hope you get sorted man. I am pretty excited about picking up one of these, likely a 2.0 or 3.0 but that's won't happen until I see these are holding up.
