my pump is not rewired, should it already be over running the FPR?

If you didn't drill the siphon or change the full voltage transition load table, then yes, it will overrun it under certain conditions.

So if you install it and drill out the siphon it should be alright? (without rewiring the pump)

Should be ok if you drill the siphon and tweak the full pump full voltage table.

I initially installed my 450 on the stock rail without drilling the siphon or changing tables. Never had an issue.

Since then I've rewired and drilled the siphon out to 9/64 while still on stock rail/fpr. No issues yet.

First go around I know the tables weren't changed.

I've been tuned by someone else now and he may have adjusted the tables.

Idk why ive had such problems with mine? I have a perrin rail, all seemed well and then it just wasn't. I removed the pump/ housing (twice) to check for anything out of the ordinary and didn't see anything. Car was going lean and couldn't see why.

My Walbro 400 died within 4-5 months. If you're running E85, stay away from this pump.

Yeah, the non-E85 Walbro 400 doesn't seem to do well in ethanol, unlike the Walbro 255 that was never made for ethanol either.

So If i install this pump with all stock hardware in place and no re-wire, can I edit the fuel pump voltage table to get it to idle at 45psi?

Just followed this install and got my car tuned on E85. Although I'm having a problem when the car feels like its about to die / run out of fuel. Fuel gauge shows 1/3 tank left, fill up about 10L's and car runs fine again.

I've drilled the siphon to 3.5mm, 2 additional O rings, clamped the pump into the housing and used the supplied wally sock.

Anyone else had this issue before?

now sure how big 3.5mm is without taking my siphon out. I drilled it out using a 9/64 drill bit, barely anything. the sock may be your problem. I know in my car using the sock, it bottomed out on the tank floor and was very tight. could be causing you some issues.

Changing the low/full voltage crossover won't make a difference for idle. If its not holding 43-44 psi with the fpr disconnected, then its necessary to drill out the siphon.

If it only happens at low fuel levels, then it sounds to me like the siphon is drilled out too far. I do wonder though - what do you mean by the pump clamped to the housing. Do you mean the stock bottom clamp?
