Sorry dude, but unfortunately this isn't much help. There's been times where I've caught a grind in the 1-2 upshift with the clutch pedal mashed to the floor. Things started to smooth out around 6000 miles (for me--others have reported different), but there are still some days where the box is "grumpy." The problem isn't seat position.

Now that you mentioned it, i only have 4K miles, i just hit it this morning on the way to work. So maybe mine is not fully broken in yet.

I got my brand new X the other day. I put 430 miles on her as of now. And no grinding whatsoever when shifting, hot or cold..
The car shifts real nice, and idles like a charm to. So, so far so good..

One thing I forgot to add. I wish there was a 6th gear on my car. It would be cool when rolling on the freeway..

I think I saw your car on the Alley, thanks the black is hard to keep clean. My fav is the famous blue with white stripes just like most viper owners. Hell its everybody's favorite color combo. Done anything to the Evo yet? I used to have a heavily modded Evo 8 you know big turbo, aem, about everything you could put into one. I think Im going to stay fairly conservative this time. Forgot what thread I'm on, Yea my trans is notchy too!!!

Im gonna be conservative on modifying my X. Probably just going to do a drop in filter, down pipe, and a tune. Then tackle the suspension and wheels next..

Shoot me a pm over at the Alley when you get a chance..

Royal purple is garbage bro, no offense. If you look at performance comparison tests, royal purple shears out of grade quicker than almost anything. It's terrible oil, and I would strongly consider switching to amsoil or going back to the factory fluid. Now, this billet selector fork, on the other hand, I am very interested in. Where do you buy this from? Difficulty to install? Where is this part located on the X, and what is changed with this new billet unit to alleviate the problem? Thanks for any info.
