It might be larger but that's not necessarily bad. Also, I don't think it's going to be easier to drive either. A paddle shifting, sequencial gearbox is practically a racing car item.... I think it's going to be much more of a real performance car aimed at the enthusiast market.
is going with this thing. Comprehensive electronics controlling acceleration, handling, and braking....variable geometry steering. There is a lot of anxiety in that camp.
The EVo mule has a roll cage (see A-pillars) and looks like external sensors(under mirror, behind headlight) probably for directional telemetry for G-force/acceleration, yaw, etc;? It could be this particular test mule is for racing efforts? 2.5yrs ago year a widebody Cadillac CTS-V was spotted on the 'Ring' and we have yet to see a production widebody or any other version except for the wider race cars... too bad...its SEX

is taking with this new Evo, but that doesn't necessarily make them correct.

... OTOH, you probably have all those rednecks worried half to death... Also, congrats on living so close to the Dragon's Tail
I seem to remember reading somewhere that the new engine (4G69 or something) will have the turbo on the back side of the engine. This could explain the small hood scoop. Not saying this as fact, just a thought.
Also, what issue of SCC is there more info on the X in? It's been a little while since I've gotten a new issue in the mail and I'm wondering if I missed it.

Just my 2 cents...
I was at the NAIAS in Detroit last week Wednesday (the 11th) during industry preview days and talked briefly with a Mitsu rep there. He said he didn't have much info on the X. However, he didn't believe Mitsu has any plans to show the X concept in North America at either the Chicago or New York shows, so he thought they would most likely bring it to the 07 NAIAS in Detroit.
Since the Detroit show is in January, an EVO X premiere at the 07 show and then a official release later in '07 would make sense.

So if the X doesn't come out until late 2007, what are they selling in the meantime? Is there going to be an IX.5? Are they still producing the 9, or is the production run over?
