ok the company I was with kind of bailed on me and said the other 2 guys had issues fixing it, when in reality it was just alot of drilling the holes and then just re welding the spots back in place. The guy said it should take a 10 hour job so lets hope its a little bit less especially with me pulling everything already off for him which he said he would have to do himself...
Taking the car in tuesday to body shop to have the evo 8 support in.

anyways finished pulling everything off in 30 mins and throwing stuff away I can't use so here are some pics

Radiator- Why not get the mishimoto evo one?
Radiator support- Same. Why not just steal it from a junked evo?

Also, the is an evo steering rack on ebay for $50. I believe it fits. I've been wanting to buy it but its not to my taste just yet. Not until the turbo goes on.

Evo headlights- they are pretty cheap here on the marketplace.
harness for evo headlights- no need for a harness, just splice wires

thanks man, the readiator support is really difficult to find here in texas no one has a wrecked evo, and the dealer I know doesnt have one, there is a guy online who has one but he is selling a shell that is worthless. I will try again before tuesday because I have my appointment by then and if not its whatever its going to be brand new.

Do I need an evo steering rack? and how do you splice wires, is it to different bulbs or something?

um yes the hid housing evo lights are very different. why buy all this evo stuff and build a motor with fwd? not really hating but trust me ive been there where i wanted a car really bad and keep turning a similar car into it with conversions and such, its honestly not worth it. power to weight wont mean much when you roll up on an awd tastefully modded car.

oh you evo guys, you just need a good beating in a race you will see

well once I get the car done I plan on selling within this year, I talked to Zulu earlier about the lancer and we kind of came to the same conclusion that the lancer is harder to build just because its not meant for racing. So we will see soon. Once I get my evo its pretty much a done deal with the car since I can tune it and work on it but I got to study it first before I attempted anything.

Once you see my conversion I know you will think its sweet

you will need much more than 500 FRONTwhp on an fp red to take my car down.
conversions are ok bro but ive been there before. i had an h22 accord i kept trying to make a prelude, had lists of all conversions i could do. then i went out and just bought a prelude, its what i really wanted at the begginning at that time anyways

hahahaha thanks demon its ok I know him personally hes just joking around

this is what I like about our lancer community we always have each others backs

so big update, we pulled the car with a chain to a place that was 8 minutes away for my radiator support... no fun I thought my front end was going to come off. But yeah when I get it home Im towing it back with a dolley....

I was also able to get the guy to do my custom swap, he says we don't do these things and I told him I understand, its a direct fit the only thing different is you have to tell mitsubishi you are ordering an evo 8 support, not the lancer es support, and use the oem specs for the lancer to weld on the support.

So I will have pics for yall next week when the car is ready, at least its out of my drive way.

to be honest this entire job can be done below a grand easily, the only issue I had was welding the support on and taking it off. I don't have those tools and I don't know what im doing. A guy who did the swap said I don't need the subframe end links and control arms, he said you can hardly tell a difference in the wheels and he had on 18's when I plan on getting some 17" tenzos

heres the list that im buying for my evo 8 project

hood - 150
hood latch - $38.00 BOUGHT
radiator - $70.00
radiator support - 800
ac condensor - 75.00
fenders - $250.00
Front Bumper - $350.00
headlights - $300.00
headlight wire connectors - $100.00
