Focus RS
I agree with those that think $2K for a winter set of wheels/tires is on the high side.
I would get a used set of the 18" wheels from the Focus ST (once its confirmed they clear the front calipers) and a some Blizzaks. New steel rims can also be had for $100 per.
If people fold that $2K (plus tax) winter tire package into their auto loan, I bet it costs them nearly $3k over the life of the loan.

Comparing used wheels, or ****ty steel wheels to a set of brand new, OEM-like wheels. You'll try anything to **** in the punch bowl.
As for steelies, they are winter wheels, designed to be driven through pot holes and road salt. They don't need to be Volks.
Just because they are new OEM wheels, doesn't mean they are a good deal. Compare what Mitsubishi charges for a new OEM Evo X wheel, to what they sell for used (in perfect condition) on ebay.

I live in Canada, dude, I know what winter wheels are for. I wouldn't put steelies on a nice car like the RS, assuming steel wheels even fit over the brakes.
If you want to keep it restricted to "new", then here you go:
Ford Racing Focus ST Wheel 18"x8" Gloss Black Focus 2012-2016 set of 4 $810.99
Set of Blizzaks $734.80
= $1545.79 tax free
So how is Ford doing you any favors with the $2K (plus tax) winter package?

Why is it apples to oranges? We are talking about the possible combinations of winter wheels/tires for $2K or less.

These are the tires, at least brand, model and approximate size, found in Ford's package:

$901.40, before tax, mounting, etc.
The wheels also aren't the same, but I can't find prices.
If we use your wheel price, we're at $1712.39, before any tax or fees.
Your argument is also retarded. You're basically arguing that you can get a different wheel and tire package for cheaper, therefore, the Ford package is overpriced.
It's not about what I prefer. That is the snow package Ford has made available. If you want Blizzaks, buy Blizzaks for your Ford Focus RS. Oh wait, you have no actual interest in the car.
holy shut up already batman
2k for a set of forged 18" wheels with good winter tires on them is a good deal. if you wanna go as cheap as you can, its possible to find a cheaper winter setup. lets leave it at that. you're both right depending on what point of view you're looking at it from.

Splitting hairs at this point but I don't think the 18's are forged, I believe they are cast just like the base 19's. The 19" forged option with PSC tires are forged.
Looks like Canadians get the winter tire package standard. I bet you can find sets on ebay soon enough well below $2K http://blog.caranddriver.com/2016-fo...t-it-standard/
