Focus RS
I suppose wallowing body roll and poor transition is all a part of the first year expectation hahahahhahahhahahaha
Its my money and I want it now, the rent is too damn high party, I saw it on facebook!
That's a perfect example of the target audience that they are looking for... because if he wasn't able to buy in to WRC or GRC he would probably not have a drive lol.
He has not done well in either regard and there is so much politics behind it that I guess they could be considered scared. If there were a KEN BLOCK edition RS OMG I would roll on the floor and run down the street naked because that probably all it would be good for.
I kid I kid guys all in the name of fun because I don't even have a bicycle right now

Ken Block will sell a sh*t ton more cars then a 'ring time. and then there's the whole speed limit thing at the 'ring now, so no more 'ring times for anything in the foreseeable future
honestly I stopped caring much about this car since I found out all power over stock will be going to the front axle only
Anyways, the limits are getting lifted in 2016 after the track changes http://www.autoblog.com/2015/08/18/n...s-lifted-2016/
All new lap records incoming.
Hah, that all turned into a poo fest quick. I just commented on the way the pre-production car looked in testing. Obviously they'll be making changes thru production but what they showed wasn't very impressive.
Though I think I'm at a point in my life Id rather get a new Camaro, throw on 315s all around, and head to the track than futz with a high strung turbo 4cyl.

I think on page 20 of this thread many months ago I laughed that every body was making fully formed opinions of a car that wasn't even out yet, zero people have driven outside of Ford (minus Ken Block) and 99.9% haven't even seen in real life.
I'll say it again, on page 79 and months later.
How on earth can any body in this thread say the car is a let down? Some of you guys ARE sounding like automotive hipsters...

To me, no weight reduction, no flared fenders, limited (and not terribly exciting) colors, no stripped down base model, and 100% of power going to the front wheels until slippage is detected (if thats true) are all let downs.
The people that cannot seem to get over the way Haldex works and dismisses it on the grounds that they think the whole shifting of power thing is working hasn't actually driven a newer haldex equipped car. It's far from a let down and it's not even perceptible.
This attitude against the theory of how haldex works and therefore feels sounds like when my dad used to grumble when watches changed from analog to digital. "Get off my lawn!"
I said this before too. If you don't expect a Evo, then expectations change. Very few cars are like the Evo. The Golf R has no flared fenders, no weight reduction compared to the GTi and it's a great car, if you shift your mindset.
Honestly if you are looking for a "raw" car in this day and age, I think you are looking in the wrong segment to be honest. Those days are long gone. The Evo was the last of its breed.
You are going to have to look at Lotus, etc for that now or have the ability to compromise. I think my Fiesta ST is engaging and raw and I really like it. If I dismissed it based on it being a FWD car then it would have been my loss.
Internet forums are the biggest piles of **** sometimes.

Remember all the "what-ifs" before the X came out? That was all harmless too.

That's easy because people have preferences.
This is a car that had great potential in my mind and its really not panning out to be what I thought it would have. That is not a hipster posture at all its just preference.
I personally don't like the X modified and as a stock daily commute or even long road trip car is ok. From stock to race trim changes the dynamics so much its not pleasurable to drive (again my preference).
I thought the RS would have been like the 02-04 RS that was light and aggressive while still meeting the market recognizable silhouette + AWD this new RS is not that.
I know what I personally like or would probably dislike that doesn't mean I need to drive it and intuitively have been right the great majority of the time. Some cars I have been surprised I liked so much and others are no surprise that I didn't. We would all be driving something different if we had the opportunity or the $$$ so saying we are hipsters because we show preference or waning preference is a little unfair or overly judgmental wouldn't you agree?
From what Ive seen, opinions arent even "ford sucks" or any of that crap. Its just based on what we can see or read on the interwebs. All in good fun, if its not fun for you then why do you care (Not Kaj, razorlab)?

I used to own an Integra type R for number of years. I can tell you firsthand they are amazing and don't drive how most people expect the front wheel drive car to. with the amount of rotation and induced oversteer you could hardly tell. personally, I would have no problems owning a civic type R.
