Focus RS
You had me until you stated the Evo 10 is a touring car. Then I just dismissed everything else you said.
MSport doesn't do Focus dev because current FIA regulations do not allow that car. Trivial fact, the MSport Fiesta R5 has a 2.0L Focus motor destroked to be 1.6L to fit within regulations.

The comment in reference to MSport was with some discussion with current and past customers of theirs and communications they have had with them Re: the "new RS"... they would rather upspec a Escort than touch this car.
FIA regulations do allow that car and there are tiers for the chassis use, there is a production racing offering as well that the Evo x and sti still basically dominate and Msport still wont touch this RS with a 10' pole.

I think you missed what they were saying. Their using ken block to make it look cool and sell units instead of putting it on the ring and showing what it can do.
I hope the Focus RS is a huge success. I hope it spawns a long line of RS vehicles. I just think there is room for improvement is all.

This. Too much complaining about what is ultimately a bone stock vehicle. Yes, you can compare to a stock Evo as much as you want, but who actually left their Evo stock?
That's a perfect example of the target audience that they are looking for... because if he wasn't able to buy in to WRC or GRC he would probably not have a drive lol.
He has not done well in either regard and there is so much politics behind it that I guess they could be considered scared. If there were a KEN BLOCK edition RS OMG I would roll on the floor and run down the street naked because that probably all it would be good for.
I kid I kid guys all in the name of fun because I don't even have a bicycle right now
Or something like that. I still like both.
I think we are going to have to face the fact that these cars get watered down so they will appeal to more customers.
The Evo did, STi, etc, etc.
CTR/ITR
Levin BZR
FRS/BRZ
STI
Evo 3,5,6,7,8,9
late GC8, GDB
Escort Cosworth
Viper
ZO6
SS
M3
Celica ST205
Pulsar GTI-r
Blah blah blah totally bone stock are awesome cars and can hold their own against modestly modified cars even of the same model.
I think what people meant is that the Evo was awesome stock and got better as you modded it. Whereas they are saying the RS will need to be modded to be decent.

Worse than that, Ford did hit the ring clearly gunning for the CTR. http://gtspirit.com/2015/06/03/video...e-nurburgring/ Then it was radio silence. One can only assume that the numbers were not that great.

The 'ring isn't really an advantageous position for the FoRS vs CTR, as the traction advantages of AWD are essentially lost when you're rarely going below 60 MPH.

When the Evo/STi were essentially homologation cars, it was pretty easy to write off the losses. Once they were expected to stand on their own, not so much.

I'll wait until the car is actually out, and real drivers have driven it to complain about it. No one actually knows how good, or not good, that car is at this point. Also, in that video, the car is super pre production and in the testing phase for suspension settings. So it could be completely different from what it was in that video.
A car that has not had a single private test, and people are going off of some video's Ford released of RoadBlack attempting to hoon the car around a wet parking lot.

Like I said, I still like it, so far.
Hah, that all turned into a poo fest quick. I just commented on the way the pre-production car looked in testing. Obviously they'll be making changes thru production but what they showed wasn't very impressive.
Though I think I'm at a point in my life Id rather get a new Camaro, throw on 315s all around, and head to the track than futz with a high strung turbo 4cyl.
