That's it? Easy button. Me likey. I'll stick with NT01s but definitely good with some Ohlins, finally.
I'm class limited to 200tw tires so no nt01s for me. tires and coilovers are definitely the easy button in this car. We will see what today brings. Going to be close to 90° out so I need to do good in my first session.
Went back to Pocono Mega Track for the second time so far. This time with Nankang CR-S tires. Wow, I am a believer in these tires now, soooo much more grip than my Conti Force tires.
The more I get used to and comfortable with this car, the more it impresses me!
Improved my time by over 9 seconds. I still have a second or two in turn 1 as I was coasting because there is a huge bump there that really upsets the car. You can see in the video it really tosses the car around! I think I have a 2 flat or even sub 2 with the car as is before I move to more power and aero. Maybe on my 3rd time there.
Also impressed the car was hitting 142 mph in the big straight with stock 2020 power.
Speaking of tires..... the Falken rep approached me over the weekend. He asked a bunch of questions. When he saw I was running 315s up front, he got serious haha. I told him that I want to see a 305-35/18 in the 660s. I think they would fit an 11" wheel better and be Supra height. Would be cool if they added them but I don't have my hopes up.

Same reason people wideboday an Evo and still run 255 or 265 tires when 285's fit on stock body... youtube/car show clout.
I tried pretty hard to do that but wound up going with wider fenders. Now i'm doing the wyze arms which wern't really around when the evo was being sold.
nice. I frequented the pocono raceway the most back in my NEast days. was it the south side that had the big burm with full lock tire marks going straight to the wall? lol that scared the crap out of me. i've seen several car do summersaults there too going off the infield

Was a combo that they put together into a “mega track” config:
If anyone is curious, I finally got around to datalogging my stock tune 2020 Supra.
Pretty solid tune for stock mapping. Like most modern DI cars, it basically runs stoich AFR at WOT, even through all the gears. I'm going to assume based on looking through the ROM that it richens up when under repeated WOT like on track. I haven't logged the car on track yet but plan to.
My car hits about 14-15psi peak and drops down to around 10-11psi out the top. This is slightly higher than I have heard of for a 2020, but since the car is torque target based, actual PSI depends on a bunch of factors.
Ignition timing is about 3* to 15* out the top during a 4th gear pull.
The ECU uses the throttle plate as one form of torque management in stock form. It's pretty active as you can tell from the logs, especially the multiple gear WOT logs.
