I think I'm going to stick with the evo 9 bov. I made a post to buy one and this guy has a crushed one for $50 should I buy it? Another guy wanted $60 for a non crushed one.

Just go with the non crushed. Are you planning on going over 20 psi?

Which is what boost levels? I'm not too familiar with your car in particular.

I'm sure the IX stocker is good up to 25psi. I am currently running it at like 28-29 psi. It likes to blow open sometimes, which scares the **** out of me. I'm sure it also leaks a little air too at those levels. I've already got a TiAL, just need to weld the flange on.

They say for us 1psi =10whp but this confuses me since we put out around. 90-100 whp stock but yet they say we gain 100 whp the first 7psi. Idk lol

probably it's 200 at 7 psi is because we do have the performance exhaust, the air intake, and the ecu tune which should add about 20-40 whp. And since you said 1psi=10 hp that's probably why we hit 200 so easily.

how much was your turbo kit

I was adding the total needed to complete my kit and I would have spent a total of 2472... I could have just bought the T-25 turbo instead and have a entire kit. Do I need most of these parts, or is there something I can get rid of? And where can i get some of these parts cheap or is it a matter of luck.
  • TD05HR 16g 9.8 turbo - $285
  • forge adjustable wastegate actuator – “Still looking probably around 75”
  • 5- 10 lb spring – 29.00
  • EVO 9 intercooler plus piping -$150
  • stainless steel O2 housing - $50
  • 440cc injectors - $85
  • Stock evo 9 blow off valve – 60.00 evom.net
  • ARP head studs – 130.00 speed corps
  • Turbo Manifold – 250 speed corps
  • 2, 10” slim fans – 59.00
  • wideband gauge – 199.99
  • Greddy Oil pressure Gauge - 70
  • Egt gauge – 91 import image racing
  • Boost gauge- 75 josh
  • 255 fuel pump – 99.00 speed corps
  • aero motive Fuel pressure regulator – probably 164 off google
  • oil feed - $70
  • Oil return kit -$80
  • Greddy electronic boost controller – 275 off josh
  • Air Intake filter-
  • Air intake Tube - 10
  • Mini Filters -20
  • Compressor Outlet - $21
  • Ecu Tune at speed innovations- "hookup not sure on price"
  • Donut gasket – 15 Google
  • Downpipe to exhaust gasket – 10 Google
  • Compressor outlet pipe gasket – 10 Google

Total amount needed to complete project -1543
    Total Spent 2472

the way that "I" would do it (this coming from my own personal experience and what ive seen others do)...

im running stock pump and fpr with no problem at all
still have the stock head gasket and studs
get the zietronix wideband setup with egt probe (that way you dont need another gauge)

my $.02

You can get a Forge or Hallman manual boost controller for around $75-90 brand new instead of the Greddy EBC. Also for the head studs you might find them cheaper on eBay or another store on the Internet by searching for ARP part # 203-4204. Fuel pressure regulator is honestly not needed for low boost. All the tuning is done through the ECU with the larger 440cc injectors in play. Those 3 changes right there will save you around $400-450. I hope this helps.

ok i'll look on ebay for the studs, and can you tell me how would I hook the everything to the stock fpr? I only did research on how to install the kit with the fuel pressure regulator.

it doesnt matter to me. i was just saying last night that the ease of use is by far better than a manual. granted a bit more expensive but in the long run i have loved mine since the day i put it in and its super easy to use.

I'm not sure what part of the kit would need to hook into the FPR??? You can tap into the FPR vacuum line for a vacuum source, but that's really it.

With a boost controller I simply mentioned a MBC to save on money, which was what you were asking about. I've been running a Forge MBC for almost two years now on two separate turbo kits and couldn't be happier.
