<-- Sick, tired and generally pissed off with too much **** going on lately.
Hey, if you guys would stop posting your "Imaginary Mustang Dyno to Dynojet Corrected" numbers (or any other obscure correction you feel is reasonable but don't have a shred of fact to back it up with), I'd stop with the dyno stuff.
But when you guys are sitting there saying "I would make XXX WHP on a Dynojet because I made YYY on a Mustang Dyno" and then tell me "Dynos are just tools," it looks pretty retarded. Which is it? Are they tools or are they actually standards of comparison?
I'm going with the first, because that's what they are. But I'm open for argument on how you can possibly compare numbers on one dyno to another. It better be fact based though and not just "That's what so and so said."

That's right!
Like I said, I've been sick anyway and I'm in a ****ty mood. Must be that time of the month or something.
Sorry if I'm arguing just to argue, but the whole dyno comparison thing is one thing that easily annoys me on message forums. It's probably because you get one person that is reputable saying that there is some kind of valid correlation and then you have 50 people saying the same **** when it's wrong. Then you have some kind of "standard" that is complete BS and then it turns into pissing matches between those that are following along with what they are told (even though it's wrong) and those with valid reasons of why that standard is wrong.
Basically it turns into an entire community believing misinformation and they will fight you every step of the way if you try to correct them. IF you want to see this in it's prime, go over to the MR2 boards. I'm not some forum ***** that likes to be on every forum so I do have real experience on the matter. You have ATS racing that is the biggest vendor over there. They are wrong on some much **** and yet so many people just follow along blindly and they will jump your **** if you try to correct their "leaders."I've spend a LOT of time building an MR2 and I got on there after I was mostly finished. What I experienced first hand was considerably different then what ATS pushes so I voiced my opinion that they might be wrong on a few things or that they should rethink some of their modifications. For example, it is common belief that to make over 320 WHP, you have to upgrade the cams and intake manifold. I made 360 WHP at 20 PSI on the stock parts so I pointed this out to them and people had a conniption. Likely because they don't want to admit they got screwed out of $2000 in cams and manifolds for no reason other then because that's what you "HAVE" to do according to the all knowing ATS.
Anyway [/vent] I'm done for a few weeks. By then I'll be done with finals, FE Exams, year project, hopefully not still sick, and I might be able to carry on a rational conversation.

I think that it's about time we make a little trip to RMR, anyone else down.
BTW I think I'm going to be heading down to Munoa's again soon, I talked to my neighbor the other day and he has this....um...."secret" part he wants to put on my evo and see what kind of gains I get with upgraded turbo.
