well guys its time to announce that I will be trading the lancer for an evo this week or this month. My lancer was one of the first and best cars I have ever owned and I have to say I am very impressed with my cars limits. I think I am the first person ever to own a lancer and push it to 17 pounds on a stock motor!!! So it just goes to show you if you have a really good tune our motors can handle the horsepower

I have to say that this has been a long journey and I have met alot of people on here that always took thier time out of the day to give out advice. I got a really good deal on this lancer that has 59k miles on it and my dealer is going to have me tune his customers cars to make up for payments and such.

For those future turbo lancers you will learn alot and do alot of trial and error but once you get your car to where you want you will love it!!!

If anyone needs help tuning thier car dont hesitate to ask and I will most likely share my rom with you guys so that you can make as much progress as I have with my car. I really was thinking about going for 20 pounds of boost on a stock motor lol

oh yeah let me also say when I get my stock parts on My turbo kit will be for sale so if theres something you want pm me with a deposit or something and its yours once i get it off

Yea sorry to see her go. Was hoping you would keep the lancer as a daily and straight out buy the evo. I would only assume you get $1-2k for the lancer. To me its not really worth it to trade in and only get that much for something that is $15-20k. Id keep it as a daily not unless the situation demads for it.

Also, I will assume the egt gauge comes with everything?

Well the last straw was when I was trying to install the 255 walbro fuel pump and it didnt even fit and yeah I broke the nipple piece where the fuel comes out... I mean wtf, and im just tired of wot pulls and I get lean spikes which I really think its either the fuel rail or the fuel pump.

The only way im going to keep this lancer is if the evo deal falls through

whats suppose to happen is he is working out a deal with me but im heading there now to see the progress of the evo and talk numbers. And I hope we don't have a pricing issue. Last time I said I was getting an evo for 15,900 and then we we talked about other stuff he said in over 5years I would be paying 20,000... ummmm yeah that is like what I make in a year so it would take me awhile to pay it off. But like I said we will see if worse comes I will just do a 4G64 swap in the lancer and make it just a project car like demon, but thats only if the evo deal goes through because I am ready for a new car at the moment and since I can tune I will be getting alot of attention

yes the egt gauge comes with everything, plus I can sell it right now

So...the shop where you work, is in SA? What sort of things do you do, tuning? fab work? other?

I'm halfway getting to the point where I might need to get my lil yellow looked at, and I might get out of my comfort zone, so it would be nice to know a place I could take it since it's modified. Most places here look and say, I don't think we can ...."insert whatever it is i am asking here". The performance guys, yeah, sure, they don't mind, but a general shop is hesitant to do anything other than oil change, tires, brakes, etc. I eventually want to get pistons/rods, and headstuds put in, but don't know that I can do it myself....on account of not having the precise tools required to measure clearances and such.

And...I can't wait for steven to get an evo, i mean, i know they are all the same as far as coming from the dealer and factories and what not.....but seeing a buddy actually post a picture of HIS, there's just something fun there.

I called the dealer and he said hes got a silver one lined up for me and payments around 350-400 a month so I pretty much need to go down there next week and make the choice.

Unless anyone wants to see a 500hp lancer with a 4g64 swap and 4G63 head. I had a dream about this last night and it was bad a** lol not sure why but either choice would be awesome.

My only concern is that if I did a 4G64 swap where the hell do I get custom motor mounts...

Its just a plan so far with the evo need to wait to see if my dealer can come to an agreement since im tuning for him....

tuning this tuning that. srry to say this bro, but tuning ONE car does not mean you can tune them all. with a the fastest world record holders having shops here in tx (not just evos) you are going to have to make a huge improvement if you want to even THINK about making a wave in the pool. that may sound like im a dick but hey.... that being said i hope you get an evo instead of making a 500whp lancer. itd be unique sure but traction would really suck. are you looking at the silver one that had the voltex front? or is he buying another one?

Could be a bad plug or coilpack if the air fuel is good .

I usually boost 11 Psi and doesnt break up at all with i forgot what heat range Ngk Iridium plugs . And they have been on there for about a year .
